There are no mistakes in a physicians experienceso hard to hve down as those made in this department of medicine, and nonethat excite harsher criticism, or greater ridicule for the diagnostician. Apart fromthese less important considerations, it must be remembered that the knowledgeof the existence of pregnancy is often of the greatest importance to the life ofthe patient, both in the field of medicine and that of surgery.
