Arcow and neighbouring Dry Rigg Quarries are worked for stone, which is particularly used for road construction. The quarry is owned by CRH / Tarmac / Lafarge. It is situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is now served by a rail link to the Settle-Carlisle railway line.
