Skin tags removed from the neck of a 50 year old Hispanic female patient. A skin tag (acrochordon) is a small, brown or flesh-coloured, protruding flap of skin that occurs either spontaneously or during the healing of a wound. A type of benign tumour, it is harmless and can be removed by a doctor. For an image of this patient before removal of the skin tags see C060/3025 and for after removal see C060/3026.
