The Deluge ofDeucalion is easily explained by supposing the outlets of thelake to have been obstructed by deposits. Devonian limestones are found on the Bosporus, but theescarpments of this strait and of the Isles of Cyamus — blueislands—the movable Planctae and Symplegades of mythol-ogy— are composed of breccias.
