A court has noear for aged men of his ilk, and death released him fromcare the next year. He is said to have married Jane BuUeror Boteler or Butler, but in 1647 his wifes name wasElizabeth. He left four children: William and Thomas,both lieutenant colonels; Leonard, who settled in Jamaica;and Jane, who married Colonel Thomas Brereton.
