In twin pregnancies, in breech pre-sentations, in transverse positions, in some deformities of thefetus, in some varieties of contracted pelvis, and in the presenceof other tumors coincident with pregnancy, the pregnant uterusis altered in shape. Displacements of the uterus may also giveit an unusual appearance in pregnancy.
