Penmon Priory, Anglesey: C13th S range (canons' dining room, cellars below, dormitory above) with C16th warming house at end, dovecote of c 1600 rear.


The C13th south range of Penmon Augustinian priory containing the canons' dining room with cellars below, their dormitory above and a C16th warming house built on the far end. The dovecote of c 1600 was built by the Bulkeley family who took over the estate. The priory occupies the site of a Celtic monastery traditionally founded by St Seiriol in the C6th. The Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path follows the lane to Penmon Point.
