NM (Sept. 11, 2008) A Navy honor guard leads service members assigned to Kirtland Air Force Base and community supporters in an America Supports You Freedom Walk. Freedom Walks are taking place across America in a national tradition that calls on people to reflect on the memory of September 11, 2001. This event is congruent with Albuquerque Navy Week, one of 22 weeks planned across America in 2008. Navy Weeks were designed to increase awareness in metropolitan areas that do not have a significant Navy presence.
