The freshness of the spring growth allowed the westering sun to glare pleasantly, rim lighting the ground cover. I had pulled over at the site of a cattle watering station, complete with windmill, but for whatever reason, this day was not meant for windmills and water tanks. I was particularly attracted to the shocks of 'hair' appearing at the tops of the grassy seed heads.
