So is itwith the penis, a structure equally as delicate; and ac-cordingly the edjres of the prepuce often put on a jaggedappearance resembling chaps on hands. Witness the accompanying wood-cut. It portrays anulcer somewhat diffused on theprepuce, and the ragged edge ofthe same structure. The sketchjust introduced was taken froma patient perhaps only a fort-night old with the disease. Beinga rackety, dissipated young man,and regardless of the treatmentsuggested, a weeks neglect pro-duced the following alteration :— A new ulcer sprung up, the oldone increased in size, and the en-tire edge of the prepuce becam
