He succeeded indragging himself a shortdistance from the pump-ing station, and attractedthe attention of the peopleof the vicinity by callingfor assistance. Aid was of no avail. He died at 7 :15 A. was born in Pennsylvania, October 12th, 1868, and wasmarried to Miss Minnie Brandt in this city. He was a mem-ber of the K-nights of Pythias and Modern Woodmen, andhad made a splendid record as city W. E.
