Temple ruins of Baalbek, Bekaa valley, Lebanon


Temples of Bacchus, Jupiter and Venus on pre-Roman foundations in Baalbek, Bekaa valley under effective control of Hezbollah and Amal, Lebanon. Massive pre-Roman foundation stones are huge blocks weighting some 450 tons and 1000 tons each defy conventional archaeological explanation as to how they came to be there. Baalbek dates back 5000 years.
