The Atomic City of Pripryat was one of perhaps only 15 to be found throughout the former Soviet Union. Special because the technology was pushing the boundaries. Special because the average age was 25. And the citizens had access to sports facilities on a scale unknown in many of the other parts of the Soviet empire. The swimming pool, seen here was a part of this. As was the fun fair, which never opened.
