Astronaut Soichi Noguchi, STS-114 mission specialist representing Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), perched on a space station truss to serve as observer and communication relay station between fellow spacewalker Stephen K. Robinson (out of frame) and astronaut Andrew S. W. Thomas. Noguchi, Robinson, and Thomas, among others, are aboard Space Shuttle Discovery during a part of the mission's third session of extravehicular activities (EVA).
