Thus, examination of the trellis diagram and the mean coefficients of community indicates that three distinctly different species assemblages are defined in the four study areas. These differences are undoubtedly caused primarily by differ- ences in the bathymetric ranges of the areas studied. Similar differences in fish populations with depth were described by Stephens, et al. (1973)..
