A rare breechloading flintlock rifle, Christoph Dettenrieder, Ulm, circa 1730. Octagonal turn-off barrel, slightly constricted in the middle with a seven-groove rifled bore in mm caliber. Dovetailed brass front sight and a folding, cut iron, rear sight. The signature, "C. DETTENRIEDER A. ULM" is engraved in front of the chamber. Finely engraved brass frame with a revolving breechblock for ball and powder. Iron loading lever cut in the shape of a snake on the left side.
