Bradford City Football Club Stadium disaster of 11th May 1985. The 30th Anniversary will be 11th May 2015


On 11th May 1985 Bradford City were presented in the afternoon with the 3rd Division Championship Trophy before commencing their final game of the season against Lincoln City. A fire was visible in the north end of the main stand towards the end of the first half. It progressed at a phenomenal speed causing total destruction and 56 deaths with 265 injured out of the crowd of 11076.
