A splendid flintlock rifle from an imperial Russian armoury Marcus Zelner in Vienna, circa 1720. Octagonal Damascus barrel, slightly retracted in the middle, with seven-groove rifled bore in 15 mm calibre. Dovetailed brass sights. The muzzle and the barrel root richly inlaid with golden band decorations (the inlays partly incomplete). Signed at the breech "Marcus Zelner".
