LUKES, ROCKWOOD fenberger preached the sermon preparatory to a business meet-ing that was held the following day at which steps were takentoward the erection of a Lutheran church building in committee to secure a location and a lot of ground for a churchbuilding was appointed to report at an adjourned meeting to beheld on March 21, 1884. The committee, consisting of HarrisonSnyder, Joseph D. Miller and W. H. H. Baker, were ready withtheir report on March 21, 1884, and the meeting was D. Critchfield was chosen chairman, and Rev. J. H. Zinn,the secretary. The committee reported that they had secured a. INTERIOR ST. Dull; elders,Harrison Snyder and John Stein; deacons, William H. H. Bakerand Jon. L. Bittner. A building committee was also chosen con-sisting of Rev. J. W. Pofrenberger, Joseph D. Miller and JohnStein, and the plans and specifications for the building were thenpresented and adopted, and the contract was duly awarded toMessrs. A. Growall & Sons, of Rockwood, Pa.
