Head and tegulae rufous ; palpi blackish at sides ; frons with black^ bars at middle and above ; tegulae with black annuli and blackish tips ; thorax fuscous brown with a feAv pale scales, the prothoracic crest tipped with ochreous; tarsi fuscous ringed with. Ferigeodes rectivitta, S • white ; abdomen fuscous brown, the anal tuft and ventral surface rufous. Fore wing rufous largely irrorated and suffused with fuscous, the costal and terminal areas slightly redder; subbasal line faint, double, waved, from costa to submedian fold; ante- medial line indistinct, double, filled in with ochreous, somewhat oblique and slightly waved, strongly excurved above inner margin ; elaviform represented by a patch of black scales ; orbicular and reniform with faint ochreous annuli defined and their centres also defined by some black scales, the former elliptical; traces of a medial line oblique from costa to lower angle of cell; postmedial line double filled in with ochreous and with white points bej^ond it on the veins, somewhat oblique and very slightly incurved ; postmedial area fuscous brown except towards costa ; subterminal line defined by dift'used ochreous on outer side, angled outwards at veins 7, 6 4, 3, 2, and incurved at discal fold; a terminal series of black points ; cilia intersected with rufous and with fine
