Acerenza portrait of Leonardo da Vinci, Popolo Square, Rome, Italy

The Portrait descovered few weeks ago in Lucania and more precisely in Vaglio di Basilicata part of the town of Acerenza, introduces a new element extremely significant to reconstruct the appearance of Leonardo da Vinci’s face. Very important because it introduces a new research concerning Leonardo’s evidence in Southern Italy and shrouded in mistery because we still have to establish dating and first origin and extremely difficult to determine the author. An absorbing subject for the current events and for thea different cultural involvements, historical, artistic, till the contestof the retrieval. While we collect contributes and credits through scientific researchs, continuous signs transpire and documents which naturally require verifications and deepening examinations.
