New York Metro Area Postal Union workers rally in front of the James Farley Post Office in New York on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 to demand that the USPS continue six-day a week mail delivery service. The postal service, which has already cut post office hours as well as other services to meet its budget deficit, is considering elimination of Saturday service which is mandated by Congress. The union feels that the deficit projections by the USPS are unrealistic and are just a ploy to get Congress to allow five-day a week deliveries. (© Richard B. Levine)
