PORT OF SUVA, Fiji (Oct. 14, 2018) Sailors heave a mooring line during a sea and anchor detail on the flight deck of Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Shoup (DDG 86) while the ship pulls into the Port of Suva, Fiji Oct. 14, 2018. Shoup is currently participating in the Oceania Maritime Security Initiative (OMSI) program, a Secretary of Defense program leveraging Department of Defense assets transiting the region to increase the Coast Guard’s maritime domain awareness, ultimately supporting its maritime law enforcement operations in Oceania.
