When these tumors have attained a great size, thestructure is found to have been in some measure absorbed, and thehypertrophy is seen to be mainly due to the increase of connective andadipose tissue. Treatment.—Improvement of the health, re-establishment of themenstrual functions, well-applied pressure, and iodine, are the remediesmost to be relied upon. If it becomes a source of annoyance from itsgreat size, it may be extirpated. Lacteal Cystic Tumor.—The result of obstruction of a lacteal tube,with dilatation or rupture of its walls. This form of tumor commences,in most cases, soon after delivery, forming a round or oblong smoothelastic swelling, which has sometimes been permitted to attain a greatsize. When the contents of such a cyst are found to have the con-sistence and appearance of butter, cheese, or casein, the tumor
