Thewalls of the building are tastefully tinted, the blackboards are ofslate, and the floors throughout of hard maple. It is in every wayan up-to-date and beautiful building, heated by two furnaces andseemingly perfectly ventilated. It stands near one corner of thesite of acres, plans for the beautifying of which have been madeby students of the University of Illinois under the direction ofProfessor J. C. Blair. The cut on inside back cover page showsthe plan as it will be worked out, a key to which gives the name ofeach tree to be planted whether singly or in groups. This building was dedicated January 30, with appropriateexercises. School opened the Monday
