The number of licenses issued by the Excise Department during the year were :Cigar manufacturers, 17 ; bonding ware-houses, 13 ; maltsters, 3 ; brewers, 6. During the past year the Inland RevenueDepartment at London has been raised fromthe standing of second-class to first-class. Theeffect is to place the Department of Londonon the same footing as Toronto and is a recognition of the -wonderful growthof business. During the past year, also, the
