THE RED CLIFFS. between the waters edge andand red-brown cliffs that framethe inlet and uphold the Inland Ice. Down thevalleys, worn by water out of the sandstone and ba-saltic walls that bound the bay, leaped brooks look-ing in the distance like silver ribbons.
