After the 1959 revolution in Cuba all the American residents, businessmen and gangsters fled back to the United States but they left behind thousands of 1950's old cars, Chryslers (chevys) Desotos Buicks and these cars have been kept in service ever since. Some have been lovingly restored and brightly painted others are rust buckets falling can hire one for a 1 hour tour of the city but there are some that are local taxis which tourists cannot use
