M. holotephnis is of a uniform dull buff tint and measures over 1 inch in length; it comes from S. Australia and Queensland. M. ovinus is a much smaller species with the thorax spined on the summit and sides; it is of a i)ale brown tint finely motth^d with grey. It has a wide range, being recorded from Kalgoorlie , Wales, Queensland, and S.
