Consul General, Chennai, Judith Ravin, meets with Capt. Willie Carmichael, commanding officer, Coast Guard Cutter Midgett (WMSL 757), Indian Coast Guard East Region Chief of Staff, Satish Kumar, Indian Coast Guard District 5 Commodore, Anupam Raj, and other local dignitaries while the vessel was moored in Chennai, India, on Sept. 17, 2022. The crew of the Midgett is on a several-month deployment to promote a free and open Indo-Pacific.
