Our own estima- tion of the plant is such that if we had room to plant but one plant of this class, it would surely be this golden Coreopsis, which begins to flower early in June and continues in flower until cut down by se- vere freezing weather; it is continually one mass of golden yellow. The flowers, which are of graceful form, are invaluable for cutting for decorative pur- poses; it is easily grown, is perfectly hardy and suc- ceeds in almost any position, and after once being planted takes care of itself.
