Spring and fall migrations, respectively north and south bound, are thought to take place along the coast of Hall Peninsula (Richard and Orr 1986). These movements correspond to the predominantly spring and fall hunting pattern of Iqaluit (Frobisher Bay) and Lake Harbour hunters (Richard and Orr 1986). The winter distribution of southeast Baffin Belugas is not clear, but is thought to range from the mouth of Frobisher Bay southward (Figure 3), and to overlap with the winter range of Hudson Bay populations which occupy Hudson Strait and western Davis Strait in winter (Richard and Orr 1986).
