"The Amazing Nina Simone" is a biographical documentary completed in 2015, re-screened at the Metrograph Cinema on Manhattan's Lower East Side, in the vicinity of Greenwich Village where Ms. Simone once lived. Written and directed by Jeff L. Lieberman, the film includes archival footage and commentary by scholars, family members, fellow musicians, friends, associates and loved ones. Lieberman and Ms. Simone's brother and bandmate Sam Waymon answered questions from the audience after the screening.
