Woolsthorpe Manor, birthplace of the English mathematician and physicist Isaac Newton (1642- 1727). Newton studied at Cambridge University, but returned to this house during the years of the bubonic plague (1665-1667). It was here that he worked on his theories of gravitation and calculus, amongst others. Woolsthorpe Manor is in Lincolnshire, England.
