An Indian gold-inlaid tulwar, Rajasthan, early 19th century, Persian export blade of beautiful wootz Damascus with broadened, double-edged point. The obverse base with gold-framed, engraved calligraphic cartouche, the reverse with chiselled lion and inscription. Iron grip with immaculately preserved gold-inlaid lotus blossoms.
