The cooling towers of the nuclear power plant at Nogent-sur-Seine, a town near Paris, France

The cooling towers of the nuclear power plant at Nogent-sur-Seine, a town near Paris, France. The plant, on the right bank of the Seine river, has two reactors and provides about a third of the electricity required in the Ile-de-France region around Paris. Nogent-sur-Seine is in the Aube department. France, with 59 reactors operated by Electricite de France, gets almost 90 percent of its electrical energy from nuclear power. The plants in front of the cooling towers are sunflowers, expired at the end of summer.
