The Bordastubble Standing Stone, Unst Shetland Isles. SCO 7498
The Bordastubble Standing Stone is located on a minor road toward the Burragarth area off the A968 on Unst, the northernmost Shetland isle. There have been five known ice ages in the Earth's history, with the Earth experiencing the Quaternary Ice Age during the present time. Within ice ages, there exist periods of more severe glacial conditions and more temperate referred to as glacial periods and interglacial periods, respectively. Another consequence of glacier flow is the transport of rock and debris abraded from its substrate and resultant landforms like cirques and moraines.
