Located in a hidden valley of the Sangre de Cristo (Blood of Christ) Mountains of Northern New Mexico, Picurís Pueblo maintains the 200 year old San Lorenzo mission. Recently restored using original building methods, adobe bricks molded by hand and artifacts found during excavation, the church remains an important place of worship for the local Tiwa inhabitants.
