New York, NY - The 9/11 Memorial, commemorating the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. The focus of the memorial is two pools constructed on the locations where the twin World Trade Center towers stood. Names of the nearly 3,000 persons killed in the attacks are inscribed around the edges of the pools. William "Bill" Biggart was a photographer documenting the attacks; he was killed when the second tower fell.
