M-1A1 Abrams main battle tanks, M-88A1 armored recovery vehicles and an M-978 heavy expanded mobility tactical truck (HEMTT) fuel tanker sit on the pier after being unloaded from the Military Sealift Command-chartered vehicle cargo ship CAPE HUDSON (T-AKR-5066). The CAPE HUDSON transported the vehicles and other equipment back from the Persian Gulf region, where they were used in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.
