The business of the last week was very fair, considering the season. There were some large orders for fun- eral work and a fair bench trade. In addition to the supply of green- house stock, a noticeable feature has been the profusion of outdoor stock, gladioli being very prominent. Phlox and the old fashioned tiger lilies, the latter being used with good effect in some stores for window display, are also popular. The front of the conservatory on Penn Avenue is a beautiful execution in plate and ornamental glass, while there is even more space for display on the Whitfield Street side. In addi- tion there is another greenhouse be- hind the show room and another over the wagon and shipping shed, the whole comprising a glass area of nearly five thousand square feet. B. L.
