It is among the first to ripen ; fruit of large size, always smooth, irm-fleshed, and has very few seeds, especially in the early mils; ripens evenly, through and through; a fine glossy rose n color, tinged with purple ; very productive; the plant is ilways loaded with fruit, as it has joints at frequent intervals, md each joint produces large clusters of from 3 to 7 fruits. A emarkably good keeper. Seed offered in packets (40 seeds) )nly this season. Per packet, 20 cts.; 3 packets, 50 cts.; ' packets, $ Chalk's Early Jewel Tomato. This is a very productive variety, ripens nearly as early as "Spark's Earliana," but is much more desirable for home use as the fruits are thicker through and more solid. The plants are of healthy growth and the Tomatoes are borne in large clusters. Color bright scarlet and quality good, being sweet and free from acid taste.
