Als vordere Wand des 3. Ventrikels erscheint die Schlußplatte oder Lamina terminalis. Zu ihrem Verständnis, sowie des sekundären Vorder- hirns überhaupt, haben wir uns zu erinnern, daß man sich letzteres auf früher Entwickelungsstufe als unpaare Hirnblase vorzustellen hat. Sein Ventrikelraum setzte sich in den späteren 3. Ventrikel fort. Vorderrand und Dachstrecke dieser Endblase wurde nun in der Medianebene einge- faltet. Diese „Mantelspalte", in der später die Sichel der harten Hirn- haut (Dura mater) hegt, scheidet die rechte und linke Großhirnhemisphäre,.
