Emajõe Lodjaselts is engaged in researching the history of Estonian river and lake shipping, wants to restore and preserve local types of ships and boats, and learn and teach the skills of making barge Jõmmu can be seen in the picture. "Jõmmu" is 12 m long, m wide, weighs 20 tons and can be driven through water at least 80 cm deep. The mast reaches a height of 14 m above the water surface and the sail area is 100 m2. As a modern addition, the barge also has a quiet and environmentally friendly 95 hp diesel engine. barge "Jõmmu" was built in Tartu in 2006.
