Prague, Czech Republic. 16th April 2015. Great Moravian jewellery from the first half of the 10th century from the Princess grave from Stara Kourim displayed at the exhibition 'Great Moravia and the Beginnings of Christianity' in Prague, Czech Republic. The exhibition presenting medieval treasures and original artefacts of the first Slavic state runs in Prague Castle till June 28, 2015.


Silver kaptorga (early medieval container for amulets) with filigree ornament, two pairs of silver earrings with long chain pendants and decorated with granulation and traditional Great Moravian silver buttons called 'gombik' are seen in the picture. The treasure from the Princess grave from Stara Kourim are owned by the National Museum in Prague, Czech Republic.
