Charles E. Webster, M. D., was born at Woods Holl, Mass.,June 18, 1856. He was educated at the Binghamton CentralHigh School, and took a complete medical course at the Har-vard Medical College. After graduating from Harvard DrWebster commenced the practice of medicine in Cook county111., residing in Chicago, where he remai led until 1890, when heremoved to 73 Chenango street, this city, where he has estab-lished a lager practice. ?^ -i. DR. CHARLES W. CARPENTER, BINGHAMTON, N. Y. DR. CHARLES W. CARPENTER was born atClinton, Wyoming county, Pa., August 26, 1S46,and is the son of Benjamin and Elizabeth BrownCarpenter. He was educated at the Wyoming Seminaryand commenced the study of medicine in 1867, attend-ing three courses of lectures at the Bellevue HospitalMedical College, from which he graduated. He thenreturned to his native town. Clinton, and establishedhimself in the practice of his profession, which he fol-lowed for eighteen years. In 1879-80 he took an addi-tional course at Bellevue Hospital, during which time hehad charge of the surgical department for out-door poor,under Prof. J. D. Bryant. Again he returned to Clin-ton, where he practiced until 1891, when he removed toBinghamton, locating at 74 Court street.
