, Hamm, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany - Temple Festival in Hamm. Hamm is Europe's second largest Hindu temple. The Sri Kamadchi Ampal Temple is the only one of the goddess Kamakshi outside of South Asia. Every year in June, the temple is a place of pilgrimage for over 20,000 Tamils __from all over Europe. The pilgrims then accompany in a procession the colorfully decorated carriage on which the goddess perched in the Hammer district of Uentrop. Procession with a statue of the queen on the procession car on the way to the ritual washing on the Datteln-Hamm canal.
