A large sinkhole above the HS2 railway underground Chiltern tunnels has appeared next to Shardeloes Lake in Amersham. Alarmed local residents have been informed by the HS2 Ltd contruction company Align that “It’s quite sizeable – around six meters in diameter and five meters deep.
