Leila Escoto is all smiles as she looks through her admittance packet from the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts. Escoto, the 16-year-old daughter of Staff Sgt. Matthew and Ava Parke, was the first student admitted to the school for the 2018-2019 academic year.
