Located at the western end of Chiswick High Road in west London, Chiswick Park is a 13 hectare brownfield site, formerly home to a London Transport bus works, demolished in the 1980s. The brief from developer Stanhope was initially for a masterplan for the site which would be robust enough to accommodate future changes in the market, as well as providing high-quality office space that was flexible, well-serviced and able to adapt to occupiers needs. Key to the success of the masterplan was the creation of a low-rise business park that engendered a sense of community and integrated with the local context - a place for both work and recreation.
